Just installed the ATC system. Added the VFD and ATC to my Masso and configured both the input 7 as tool changer 1 (Masso shows High Status) and input 8 as tool changer 2 (Masso shows low status) set the output as well. Saved all settings. Power on the spindle (Set to automatic) then power on the PE. I have 95 psi at both my compressor and my 4 stage filter. I also have a shutoff ball valve attached to my female quick connect where it connects to the female from the PE (my compressor is in another part of my shop maybe 30 feet from my cnc). When I pressurize my PE I am getting a constant stream of air from the dust output side of the PE - should this be the case or is it possible something came loose during shipping?
It’s not impossible, however unlikely.
You mentioned the high / low of the inputs, but didn’t mention if you inverted them by pressing spacebar with the input highlighted. It should read yes. Also if you invert the output, it’ll force air thru the spindle… i don’t think that’s what you’re describing, but just a side note
After that, i would test your connections, and maybe an air line isn’t pushed in all the way. If you trimmed the line, also verify it wasn’t at an angle.
A way to check if it was damaged would be to remove the air line. If it continues to leak, submit a ticket to support@pwncnc.com with a video demonstration. If it only leaks with the air line plugged in, see if you can identify the source
Thanks Chris. I made sure the inputs and output matched the install video. I disconnected both air outputs and air is flowing freely out of both ports.
But did you invert the inputs? The video i believe your speaking of skipped that step and we missed it till after being published
Ok - the video I am referring to is the ATC install on the onefinity elite. I have triple checked the wiring inside the Masso. I have ensured the tool changer is set to linear type 2. I have inverted both inputs and the output in the settings. When I power on the PE I see a red glow in the enclosure and air is coming out of the spindle. When I disconnect both the dust and motor air lines air is coming from both ports.
Do not invert output 7
You did not invert input 8.
Same results. Here is the red light on the PE it won’t let me post my .mov video where you can hear the air coming out of the spindle.
If the output is low, there should be no air flowing through the valve.
You can’t directly post videos here, it has to be uploaded to you tube or the likes and a link posted.
I suggest you send an email to support@pwncnc.com where you can upload a video to wetransfer.com and have the link sent to them
Thanks Chris, I do appreciate it. Email sent to support.
Just to give a follow up - turns out it was a defective MTC cable. Removing the cable allows me to make a manual tool change in Masso.
Thanks for the follow up. Be sure to update support with your findings
