ATC is not allowing change of tools

I purchased the ATC with a 220 water-cooled spindle. The spindle was not letting go or pickup the tool when I used the t_m6 command in MIDI.

I have received a replacement pneumatic box. We’ve swapped them out and there’s still no change. We have tested the compressor and we have enough pressure. We’ve metered all the lines and all the lines are good. We still have when in auto it doesn’t drop the tool and goes over to pick up new tool but doesn’t pickup, either . when using the t_m6 in MIDI. It works fine when we push the button to drop and open the jaw on the spindle. And it picks up when we go to pick up when we use the MTC button

- the power box is on auto

What can we do next to find out what’s up doc.

Thank you in advance

Are there any errors on the screen? What are they?

Can you upload a video to youtube and post a link here?

No errors at all that I can see

interesting, can you demonstrate what works, and your process for what doesn’t work in the video? please include the f1 screen and a pic of your wiring inside.

Sorry I’m not techie enough to upload a video.

But my process has been for example:

T1 in the Chuck

Go to midi

Enter t2m6. Enter

Tool goes to holder for t1 doesn’t drop

Goes to t2 (with t1 still in chuck and I take t2 out of it’s holder as it would crash with t1 still in the Chuck. )

I hear no air for the changes at all through the process

but the button works?

Sounds like either its not programmed in the f1 screen or not plugged in to what its programmed to.

Wiring the ATC Control Inlet to Masso G3

I’m setup all low except estop

Low is irrelevant at this point. The “yes” is more important than the low. This is what it should look like on the F1 screen for those input/outputs. you probably don’t have anything in output 6.
If you highlight output 7, and change it to high by pressing the spacebar it is supposed to blow air, and eject any installed bit (so do it either empty or ready to receive it.

Your the man, thank you it is working. How do I now get it to go and check the look length after the tool change . Thank you again

de-select "Only Auto Tool Zero When Manually Requested”
Setting up the Tool Setter

Side note. Don’t use long bits “in the back” because they could crash with bits as it goes forward. At least check your heights for this, and theres no danger (or at least the least amount of possiblity for a crash) in going z=0 between tool changes.
