We have rotaries in-stock ready ship as early as tomorrow.
I think our biggest drawback right now is we don’t have a clear and concise installation video, but that will be cleared up by next week.
Just putting it out there, it’s not a quick process.
Each pawn took 1 hr 15 min to make from square block of wood to loosening the jaws.
This is about 60 hours of machine time not including redo’s (there was several as I was learning how to use it myself) using a 1/32" TBN, a rounding and roughing pass.
THANK YOU!!! I will order one as soon as I’m done writing this! I and MANY others are tired of the run around from “you know who” I don’t even know if I’ll be able to cancel my order from them but I don’t care. I’ve learned a lot this evening about their slimy practices and I refuse to support such things. If I can’t cancel my order, maybe I can sell it to someone else. THANK YOU!!!
edit…DONE. You friggin ROCK
I feel like a kid on Christmas eve! I just ordered the PWN rotary and I have over 1000 feet of 2.5 x 2.5" maple that’s been sitting in my garage, waiting for 1F to pull their heads out. Hopefully I can cancel my order from them. If not, Maybe I can sell to someone else, OR maybe I’ll have a dual rotary
Either way, I am so done with 1F after what I have learned today!
Yeah but those look AWESOME dude…great job and thanks for sharing the pics as well as the learnings
When I asked them to cancel and refund my orders for rotary and ATC…I got the email faster than anything I’ve every gotten from “them”. They should cancel and refund you.
Same experience. It took about 5 minutes to get a reply. I’m all good and can now wash my hands of them.
That set looks amazing!!

Hey guys, two questions: 1) Do you have riser blocks installed? If not, how are you getting sufficient clearance to use the rotary? 2) Do you have an adjustable mounting solution to ensure squareness to the AXIS and provide for different length stock?
jay
Kind of have riser blocks. I have some 3/4" scrap Baltic birch plywood, plus the included risers for the Foreman… but i also have shy of 1" mdf, and t-tracks for the table. I segmented my wasteboard so i can remove a section of my mdf and put the rotary on some 2020 AL. My plan isn’t perfect because the tail stock has some slop. I squared my headstock by marking a line on a 12" long piece of lumber and followed the spindle down and tightened it.
I also raised my spindle some. This is the spindle in full down
plywood riser I have
This is the cut out area i was speaking of
What the setup looks like, except when I’m doing a rotary job, I’ll take the above squares out.
Hashtag dominator has 8" clearance!!!
@Chris @Daniel
Thanks Chris. I have the QCW with Airweights slats; so, segmenting/removing spoilboard isn’t something I can do. I think with riser blocks I should be okay.
I’d still like to see your additional pics when you get a minute.
Jay
I added a few to my previous post.
I can’t tell, is that the Foreman? The footpads are not compatible with the Foreman
No, I have the Woodworker X-50 upgraded to Elite.
Will the foot pads work on the Woodworker X-50? I had previously purchased the maker files for the foot pads and am now getting ready to print them. Don’t want to waste the filament if they won’t work on my machine.
It’s just the Foreman Y50s they don’t work with to the best of my knowledge
Idk which order theyre in but i numbered the slats i removed and where they went.
I don’t like the tail stock, but haven’t found a better solution. All ears if someone has an idea though
We’ve redesigned the footpads to work with the QCW.. They should work with the Foreman i believe. If not if i could get dimensions i can certainly adjust the design to be compatible.
Absolutely. That’s the size I personally have. Do you have the QCW or did you build your own table?
The pads we have on the website right now only work with the table, but as i mentioned in previous post they will work now with the QCW
i have the qcw…i just printed what was on the website maker file. how will i know if I have the new version (before i go taking things apart?)
