Airweights Slats on a Onefinity QCW table

I wanted to share in case others are struggling with a similar issue.

I have been trying to figure out how to get the most our of my Airweights vacuum solutions for my Onefinity Woodworker on a QCW stand.

Since I don’t want to cut into my Airweights slats, I have put the 1/4 MDF spoilboards on top of them and covered them with AllStar CNC tile gasket to improve the suction through the MDF.

However, unless my work piece fits within the profile of a slat (approx 9" wide), I lose a lot of suction due to the T-Track ‘gaps’ between slats.

Today, I have solved that. I cut two bespoke pieces of wood to slide in snugly between the slats and put tile gasket on them as well. Now, I have a continuous flat uniform surface for my work pieces that are held in place solely with vacuum power.
