Silly question. I use a 1F cnc and the spindle is grounded, so the touch probe magnet is connected to the frame rather than the spindle. This works well with wood, but not aluminum clamped in a vice (since the probe is triggered as soon as you put the probe on the stock. Is there any way to use the touch probe with aluminum (other than putting some type of non conductive material between the stock and the vice)?
I guess the big question I have is how/why is the block in the vice completing the circuit?
Can you give more info on your setup, specifically how is that circuit being completed
I did aa lot of research into this problem and it’s a QA issue Onefinity has with their touch probes i’m afraid.
