Onefinity Forum Censorship

Hey Daniel,

Yes, the deleted ones remain there. They just get unlisted. It’s just the previous versions of postings that disappear when they edit it. What helps here is to have saved archives regularly in the past, sort of backups against censorship

By the way, Onefinity always deleted a lot of posts in the past. Bb controllers that suddenly ceased to work with no reason etc. But the controllers were usually replaced.

But the way that they alter the user’s messages content now (and the amount) is new to me.

Hey Eriz, hey Chris, hey all,

Well i cannot do that. As you can see here, with 4100 posts I am the user with the most posts ever, and the second-most liked user with 3600 likes. And it is also very difficult to post something instead of the ones that were edited / censored by Onefinity. What should write instead there? “I was refering to Daniel’s PwnCNC spindle, but Onefinity decided on 2025-02-11 to purge Daniel’s existence from all their customers and contributors forum contents; please see the backup of my original posting on my website here” ?

But anyway, what I always wanted to do, is to put the knowledge into my website rather than posting it on forums. I have php, ruby and sql and so on on my webspace so I could set up a mediawiki or something cool. I did not have the time to do it yet, also I wanted to start with that once that I can start to build my VFD control cabinet, what I wanted to do once I will have moved to a new workshop. I plan to make a photo howto of all the required steps. All the parts needed are already here, including a beautiful spindle and a nice VFD. I just lack the room and the time.

Regarding what they did to the content of the users, including over 60 posts of mine, of course I have also lost any desire to post there again. That goes without saying, they have shown that they are not worth it. They had better have thought of the consequences before.

Here one from my postings, from the same thread: They simply kill my entire post’s content and let me appear as if I wrote that I endorsed their redline spindle. Which didn’t even exist at that time.

This does not make you angry? I mean, you still post there

By the way, it seems they unlisted the entire thread at the moment.

They are using the exact same motor (from G Penny) and Delixi VFD. The only improvement seems to be the redesign of the VFD enclosure, and stating they have a “patent pending” on the product. Our patent lawyer states it was filed in secrecy (which is common) and usually the secret patents are revealed after one year, and that it is most likely just a design patent for the unique enclosure with their logo.

Aiph5u, I’m sorry to hear that - years of your time poured into their forum just wiped out gone. I totally understand why you would want to invest in your own website!

@Aiph5u
This does make me angry and it is just the latest of their shenanigans. Therefore, I’ve decided to vote with my money as well as my forum posts and I’ve just sent them an email cancelling my orders for ATC and 4th Axis Rotary. I encourage anyone else in my situation to do the same. I think that is the only way we’ll get their attention. This will allow me to support PWNCNC instead.

Hey Eriz,

here you explain to a Onefinity forum user why you deleted your post, and to avoid any discussion, Onefinity locked the thread immediately. They may unlist it as next step probably.

If Onefinity was not yet aware of this thread here at pwncnc, now they are. But they may be here anyway.

Edit: Now they unlisted it. It can be found no more.

You are right. They locked it and unlisted it. However, not before two users replied. In private messages with one of those users they shared more examples of Onefinity deleting their posts not related to spindles or ATC!

I definitely know the support and respect from the community will only get us (PwnCNC) so far… I see it as our job to offer innovative and interesting products that are attractive for customers to spend their hard earned money on. I just want everyone to know that i do take this job very seriously.

It is writ large in 10 foot high letters, Daniel! :+1:t2:  Any person with a functioning brain will be aware of how much time, care and attention you, and your fabulous staff, put into keeping the PwnCNC user base informed, supported and up to date. My thanks to you all because in the world of the almighty dollar, i very much appreciate the business model of PwnCNC.

I have the PWNCNC spindle kit as well, but I am using a Longmill MK2.5 and am happy with both. Sienci Labs has started selling their own spindles as well, but I haven’t seen comments one way or the other. I haven’t been on their forums for a while due to personal issues, so I don’t know. I do know that the staff at Sienci Labs is top-notch and above board.

I had all my posts deleted and was banned from their forum. And facebook group. After dropping over $5000 with them

I’d never recommend Onefinity to anyone for any reason. Besides the price, the frame and components are the worst design in the industry.

I just wish there was a good way to get the word out to all of their future potential customers

Well my American friends. OneFinity is a Canadian company - apparently. In Newmarket Ontario. I do have a newish CNC from them. What really ticked me off at the time I hot sucked in thinking their pricing was in Canadian dollars. NOT.
Now with your illustrious US President threatening tariffs OneFinity came out and offered all US Customers no increase in price should tariffs kick in. Great you say - and not a single offer for us Canadians.

Thanks OneFinity for supporting Canada!

Hello, yes the tariff war is unfortunate. From a business perspective, it is logical to try to avoid panic and massive cancellation of orders due to a perceived 25% increase by the customer. The business has already had to spend & commit that money to purchase and import the parts for the product. I assume that most of 1F’s customers are in the U.S.

Are they open to allowing Canada customers to do local pick-ups to perhaps save on shipping? We sometimes have local customers stop by for pick-ups, but we then have to impose the Arkansas state sales tax in that scenario (save on shipping but pay sales tax!). Or, the local customer will have their product shipped anyway but stop by for a visit to say “Hi” which is always fun! We enjoy having visitors.

I live approx 90 miles from OneFinity and did drive to pick up my machine. Yes I did save on the shipping.

It’s just most unfortunate that our own Canadian company doesn’t see to care about its own first. With the current exchange rate coupled with Trump’s absurd unplanned planning and negative worldly effects it totally sucks.

I am curious to which YouTube supporters of 1F will mention this forum post modifications… We will see the true colors and who is sold out to 1F. I for one, will not continue to support them with my $USD going forward. Unfortunately I am not forgiving person, no going back after this behavior for me. If Daniel sells a replacement box to make my Masso free of 1F, I will only rely for the rails until find a replacement…

We’ve got our machine coming up… for those willing/able to make that level of change.
Our masso conversion kit is shipping very soon. We just got in the 2Nm motors (literally today) and 3Nm soon. These can certainly be installed onto the 1f machines. We did so on our Machinist late last year.
We are working on a BuildBotics (branded) conversion kit too. This will let folks either get their controller or a conversion kit using their controller.

We are also working hard to ensure our accessories like the Rotary come with the needed connectors for wiring up to a 1f machine.

As mentioned before, we will absolutely support anyone owning a 1f machine just like we do with other brand machine owners. We don’t discriminate here ;-). Your spindle system will be supported.

And with our new facility… we’re going to work even harder to bring some cool and interesting products/services that really help everyone in the cnc community.

Hey all,

@doubleplay643 posted this on forum.onefinitycnc.com, and I posted a reply. Let’s see how quickly they delete it

EDIT: 2025-02-20 18h51 UTC: Now they locked the thread
