We’re getting very detailed with this product. It’s an IoT Manual Override Switch. Essentially it lets you trigger the IoT power strip manually between carvings. This way if your shop-vac is attached, it’ll turn it on for those in-between carving cleanup sessions you may do.
I’ve been wanting this from the moment it was announced before I joined the Pwn Team officially
would like an IoT for makers with 240v in the UK, please
We haven’t been able to source one, otherwise we would!!
Well keep up the good work ,we live in hope , without hope there is no chance yes ![]()
I’ve got the final pieces needed to make this a reality.
Since this product involves special soldering… i’m going to use it as a teaching moment for our two college bound employees. Setting up a second soldering station so the next time they’re here they can immediately start working on these and a few other electrical related projects.
It is so fun to share knowledge with folks who are interested in learning.
Daniel, I never once doubted you,

Let me know when these are available and I will add to my ATC order

hi Daniel , any update on the new product ? IOT 240v
We’re investigating but don’t have anything yet.
We’ve asked DataLoggers to develop one but it seems they’re outside of their development phase. I’ve not heard anything from them regarding my request for a 220v version.
That said, @Jeff has been playing around with a few ideas to make this happen. I understand he currently has a prototype and it’s a matter of productizing it.
Oh WOW!! I just discovered this thread. I built something exactly like this 2 days ago. The major difference is I’m running the voltage for the manual switch from the Meanwell power supply vs a battery but other than that, it performs the exact same function.
I just ran across this item. Sounds like exactly what I’d like to have to be to run my vac between jobs. Right now, I keep an extra vac (Home Depot bucket vac) at my feet that is always in my way.
Any update on when it might be available?
Completely agree. I’ve only managed to build a few of these before the manufacturing process became unbearable.
It is still very very high on my want-list… and once i’ve solved the manufacturing process it will definitely be back.
