Hi,
Running from PC, version 2.12 of Masso Link and 5.09 on Masso. All was working one day, then suddenly not the next. Happened shortly after updating to 5.09 - but not immediately after, so a real mystery. I’ll keep trying.
Very strange. Sorry I wasn’t able to be much help. Hope a solution can be found.

Hey guys, this is definitely a problem. MASSO hasn’t figured it out yet. I worked with MASSO support and they found a work-around that works for me. I posted the solution on MASSO’s forum (Masso link v2.12 not working | MASSO Community Forums).
I have a Macbook Air and MASSO Link worked for me for a long time. Then, I upgraded to Sequoia and it broke. Then, Apple released a bug fix and it worked again. Then, I upgraded to 5.09 for the ATC changes and it still worked for me. Then, due to the errors found in 5.09 ATC functions, i downgraded back to 5.07 and noticed a short time later that MASSO link was no longer working. I can ping the MASSO; but, can’t get MASSO Link to connect without the work-around.

I waited 5 days, did nothing and it started working again.
???
I experience this often with so many things. Back when I was programming, as a career, I’d run and rerun the exact same piece of code only for it to fail over and over. Then something either I was unaware of or out of my testing parameters/control changed and the code worked.
There are an infinite number of variables and not all of them can be accounted for. I’m certain something super simple changed that we both are unaware of. It could have been someone at Masso with their server software, could be someone at the hosting company fixed something, could have been your internet provider opened another link that gave you faster access to the Masso hosted server service. Unfortunately it’s impossible to know specifically due to how complex computer systems are these days.
I’m really glad it’s working again… and sure hope whatever was fixed stays fixed!
That said, you should always file a support ticket. Cause if no one tells Masso, they won’t know it’s broken and therefore not know it needs fixing
@Daniel
Retired IT guy here. I totally get what you are saying about the variables that might be contributing to this. However, I think it is probably MASSO not “keeping up” with Apple’s security/permissions changes in the latest releases. The fact that their “executable” works; but, the wrapper that launches it does not points in that direction for sure.
No doubt. Smartphone apps require a lot of work to maintain them due to the shifting security and other issues that arise.
