That is beautiful!
What’s the blue fabric? Is that where medals and such will go?

Yes, it is a piece of cork board that has been dressed with a felt-like fabric to allow for anything to be mounted onto it! In this case medals and ribbons and other pinned accouterments.

Made these on commission for a local non profit. Won 2nd place overall at a woodcarving competition. (First was an eagle that was all painted)

I loved it the most because i was given artistic freedom and liberty with vague guidlines.

I like to make thing’s out of plastic. It may not be pretty (eye of the beholder) but it keeps the wheels rolling.

Not gonna lie this an genious idea and is extremly beautiful and simple!!! I’d find a local sushi bar and try to sell to them!

Here is my version, I like yours because it looks less stressful to make lol. I hate mitres and epoxy hahaha.

Lots of CDCR flags and badges.

Which prison? I was at MCSP and CHCF

Currently at CVSP, but about to close down, so need to find a new home soon. I’ve seen some of your flags on IG. You do amazing work. For me it’s a hobby, but I sell some stuff here and there to buy more tools and materials.

This was a prototype for a Keytar (keyboard/Guitar) with speaker. I made the two body parts and neck separately. All Cherry wood.

Its not really my favorite project, but it’s meaningful nonetheless…

I was going to Colorado Springs with a couple of friends on our bikes, doing 1,000 in less than 24 hours. Not a huge feat, but not for the faint of heart.
We just left Ash Fork, AZ and I was riding #2. The number 1 did something stupid and I said I’m not doing that, then my cruise control kicked off. I didn’t think anything of it, as any sort of resistance (or a pothole (which i didn’t hit one)) will kick it off.

I looked back in my mirror and didn’t see #3.

Being we were on a divided highway I didn’t want to turn around and face incoming traffic, not like there was any.

Sparing the details, I’m sure you know what happened.

He was non responsive and dillusional when I arrived, and I was neurotic.

He survived and recovered well and is a 24 year, now 25 year Army Warrant officer and a Gold Star Family member (brother)

I stopped by the hospital on the way home and saw him and met his wife, to give her the things I carried that was his. She said he was sleeping and out of it, but he was awake and cognitive, albeit drugged and numb, when I walked in.

He’s also a woodworker, but hasn’t branched to CNC although I have tried to recruit him and he loves Superman. His roadname was Steel. I told him to paint this as it probably beats the coloring books for 4 year olds he’s doing. So while not my favorite, it’s a meaningful piece nonetheless.
