I started to get Error 12 last night. I contacted support and they told me to first check for continuity in the power cables. I found two broken wires at the point where they enter the top of the spindle.
Is this a repair I can make with the spindle still mounted? If I take the very top of the spindle off, do I need to be concerned with coolant leakage (I’ve disconnected the quick connects). Is there anything special about the repair - will I need to desolder and resolder the connection or is it screwed into place? Is there any easy way to reinforce this point - both for the power and signal cables? I had plenty of slack coming out of the drag chains, so it wasn’t pulling. It must have just been the normal movement of the spindle and gantry that caused this failure.
