Releasing a brand new product to the market can be a scary thing. There are so many unknowns once the product is in customer hands that can cause a whole lot of head and heart aches as well as lost sleep.
Our entire team stands by to work with any of our customers as they encounter problems with any of our products and this goes doubly so for brand new products like this ATC System.
We will be doing a slow-roll style of release as we begin to ship ATC System orders to customers. This gives us the opportunity to provide more one-on-one support and address problems as they arise as well as copy the solutions to other customers and pending orders before they go out.
We want a complete, functional, and highly reliable product that simply works for hundreds and thousands of hours. We take this mission very seriously which is why we’re slow-rolling at first.
This week we shipped two ATC Systems to our internal team; Chris and Clinton. As well as to one lucky customer. Not sure if they’ll post socially about it, not everyone is as vocal online, but rest assured they have our undivided attention as they get it setup and running.
On our engineering team Chris and Clinton helped develop this product even though they were remote. Thus getting them a unit to work with directly will help every customer. I’ll directly help each of them and the three of us will be helping customers if any issues arise.
Due to this slow-roll… some of you might have had plans related to receiving a machine and ATC at the same time and immediately using them together. We know the slow-roll will be disappointing to you, so to help with this mismatch in delivery times… we are offering you a free 80mm to 65mm shim. This will let you install a Makita palm router into the 80mm spindle mount of your machine. It’s not ideal but we know you want a product that works and we are dedicated to making sure that happens upon first delivery. Reach out to support@pwncnc.com if you want to take advantage of this free shim offer.
Know that a few of you have order numbers that are outside of this ordered list due to when you ordered and how our shopify system won’t let us reorder them. We are working off from a spreadsheet queue that is respecting the proper sequence that orders came in.
The shipping table of order numbers is available at Shipping Table
If you have any questions… please reach out to us at support@pwncnc.com and we’re happy to assist you.
To let everyone know I am not at all happy with the delays. I’m purposely not adjusting the dates on the timetable and will do our best to ship a bunch of ATC’s the same week.
We’re going to be preparing shipments like normal, gathering all parts, and boxing… this way when the motors arrive we can break each one in, assemble for full final testing, then pack, label, and ship as fast as possible.
I’m preparing 5 ATC Systems today and continuing this all week. I’m not happy about the motors being delayed… but know there is a lot of progress happening. I’ll be ready to ship out all these just as soon as they’re fully tested.
When motors arrive I’ll hook each system up to my machine and run a litany of tests.
Great news! The motors have started to arrive… 177 boxes containing more than 350 motors of all types.
We’ve started opening up the 10 boxes that arrived friday with the rest of the boxes showing up this coming week.
We’ll be up to our eyeballs in motors!
After a very long 3 weeks waiting… we’ve started to receive the motors. Today i’ll be working diligently testing and packing the first ATC orders to be shipped out to customers.
Over the next several days I’m expecting to receive another 60 more ATC motors… enough for all open orders and a bit more.
For every 3 orders i’m ordering 4 motors so we can eventually get ahead of demand and consistently have ATC motors close to ready-to-ship as possible.
Man I’m pumped up! Know it’s been rough but appreciate y’all staying on top of things and keeping us updated. As a business owner myself, we can’t control everything, but you can always keep your customer informed to keep expectations in check. Y’all are doing great work
Really great to see! Stay safe, of course everyone wants to hold their product but none of us would ever want to hear about a unit under test going awry or anyone getting needlessly ill from the stress.
I don’t know if the first ATC in the wild’s owner wanted to post a picture or not, and if they decide to I’ll remove this, but the first ATC has been Shipped, Delivered, and Unpacked!
We had a longer delay than expected, however I’ve updated the table above with the new dates.
I’ve brought additional resources up-to-speed and aside from this week and last week’s delays… I’m expecting we’ll accelerate our delivery well before we’re all caught up.
We are definitely progressing and now right on schedule (first post).
All of this week’s orders have shipped and we’ve already started preparing next weeks orders
