I’m considering using a standard VESA monitor mount for my Masso controller. The Masso follows the VESA 100 x 100 mm standard (M4 x 10 mm) for monitors <30.8 lbs / <14 kg. There are lots of cheap monitor mounts on Amazon. My hesitation is that I think I’ll move the Masso around a lot more than I would a desktop monitor, so I’ll want a mount that can easily and reliably be repositioned. Anyone have a recommendation for such a mount?
This is what I have.
Vesa Mount
Instead of grabbing onto a pole, I don’t use one of the parts, and screwed it directly into my table.
Up Down, Left Right, Tilt Up Tilt Down. does all the positioning I want.
Thanks for the recommendation @Chris
Monoprice has a bunch of options as well: https://www.monoprice.com/search/index?keyword=VESA
Hey @Eriz, hey @Chris, hey Daniel,
I use the Ergotron’s LX desk mount (datasheet) on all my desktop monitors. It’s best quality, they are entirely made of aluminium. You can move the arm and the monitor will always stay where you positioned it. You can adjust the monitor’s weight and also the friction (see manual). All the monitor cables can run inside the arm, I have one with both HDMI, DisplayPort, Power, and Sound cables, all inside the arm. The Masso may be too light in weight, since they are designed for desktop monitors. But they have a broad range of products.
Thank you all for sharing your recommendations!
I decided to try to HUANUO ($38) and ordered a PwnCNC Masso screen protector to complete my setup.
I’ve used Ergotron’s products at work for nearly two decades, but they are too expensive for my home shop. Hopefully I don’t regret going with a lower price option.
