Another EMI question

Ok, keep in mind that I am electrically illiterate…

I finally received all my toys (1F w/masso & spindle kit) I’m about to wire everything up and have a few questions about vfd mounting location.

Is the most likely source of interference coming from the vfd being too close to the masso? Or is it from having the spindle cable in the drag chain along other wires? Or both?

I plan to mount the vfd as far away as the cable allows but should I also consider supporting the spindle power cord from an overhead boom instead of putting it inside the drag chain? Or is that overkill? I know EMI can’t be eliminated entirely but what’s the #1 source of the problems as it relates the masso controler?

The 110v 80mm spindle will be on a dedicated 20A circuit. The 1f/masso will be on it’s own, and the dust collection will also be seperate. I just want to give myself the best chance of not having problems before I button everything up. Any thoughts?

I’ve never heard of EMI causing issues with the Masso. I’m not saying it’s impossible but we would hear about it in Spades at PwnCNC support if it were a common problem.
My VFD-Enclosure, pneumatics enclosure with power supply and Onefinity power supply are all mounted right beside reach other and directly under the Masso Touchscreen about 12-16". Everything running through (wider) drag chains and I’ve never had a single issue.
I’ve also never heard of a issue and I spend 40-60hrs a week for the last three years doing nothing but PwnCNC support. It’s just not something to worry about… IMHO!!

Ok thanks, it’s typical of me to overthink things. Once again, my old man was right…“Don’t worry bout it till ya need to”
