New to the forum.
Currently I’m retrofitting a cnc with tangential knife. It only has X and Y. “Z” axis are controlled by a pneumatic valve system.
I get masso for this project but can’t find the correct postprocessor to make it work. Anyone has some experience about this.

What is a tangential knife?
I’ve used the Fusion 360 post processor with the $10 DragKnife add in for a drag knife.
I looked into this in preparation for the same project. The closest post processor available seemed to be one provided by sheetcam, that will need modifications to work on your machine. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find areadily available on from Fusion. If you do, please post about it!
A drag knife naturally follows the path of the spindle, trailing slightly behind so it turns in the direction of the spindle, like a shopping cart wheel.
A tangential knife actively turns, and its direction is controlled with another motor, and it considered another axis of the machine. The post processor needs to synchronize the direction the blade is pointed while the spindle moves around.
Can try and ask the knife manufacturer for your cad and masso post processor since it’s a specialized piece of equipment. They’ll hopefully be able to point you in the right direction.
