PE Pressure Regulator Dials

Is there a trick to turning the regulator dials on the PE? I’ve tried turning them and they don’t want to budge. I tried pushing first, but can’t seem to do that. I’ve tried to pull them, but I can’t get a good grasp on them so I doubt that’s it. I haven’t tried using pliers because I don’t want to inadvertently damage it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help!

There’s NO REASON to adjust them. They’re adjusted and tested before shipping.

I’d like to use the aux line for laser air assist. I’m not sure if the pressure is right for that.

The way we initially configure these regulators is by taking a 3" piece of tubing that’s been folded over onto itself and zip-tied to keep the pressure.
Then activate that relay/solenoid sending are into the pinched off tube. From here we can adjust the regulator to the desired pressure.
Know that only one solenoid can be ‘charged’ at a time. So if what you’re wanting will happen in the middle of a tool-change… know it’ll likely cause you problems, however laser-air-assist… it is a perfect idea. .3mpa may be too much pressure for a laser though… so you’ll definitely want to lower that down.

Hi Daniel. My original question stands - the regulator knob doesn’t budge by hand. Is there a trick to getting it to turn?

Ah, they’re embedded in the enclosure, so you’ll need to take a wrench to gently pull on the knob. This will “snap” it out about 1/4". There’s a noticeable click.
After that you can turn the knob to adjust… then be sure to press the knob back in until you hear the click again knowing it’s locked.
