Onefinity Conversion

Hi All,

Just purchased the Advanced Conversion kit to begin upgrading my X-50 Woodworker to Masso. Anyone who has done similar, were there any little things that popped up during the process and caused delays? Any hiccups that can be avoided?

We are looking to be down for a couple of days between completing the conversion and familiarizing ourselves with the new system. Hoping to think about as many little things as possible that could prolong the process.

I’m planning the same, but have no advice to offer (seeking that advice, too).
Are you connecting to a VFD and spindle?

I am, using the existing PWN spindle/vfd that I have been using but with a new control cable.

The hiccup across the machines are where/how to attach the limit switches. Fortunately for you though, it’s been solved for onefinity upgrades

Thanks for the insight!

Circling back now that I have the conversion kit in house. Do you know where I can find printable files for the prox mounts? I’ve been combing through the website and can’t find anything

Have you sent an email to support@pwncnc.com?
I don’t have access to them, but i know they exist and that would be the place i would go to get them

I have an email out to them from Saturday. Figured with it being in the middle of the holidays, it might be a little bit before I hear back. I am working on designing my own for now to get up and running.

Someone should respond today

I just placed an order for my conversion kit. Any update on how to mount these proximity switches? Thanks in advance.

Have you sent an email to support@pwncnc.com saying you bought the conversion kit and have a Onefinity?

I did design some mounts that used existing features on the onefinity that work. They aren’t super pretty but get the job done. They required adding some tapped holes to create a prox trigger. There might be a better way around it, but that was the quickest solution for me. I did work with support, but it did not yield anything in the way of a solution. The only solution they provided was for optical switches, not the conversion kit switches. It seemed like maybe there was some growing pains at the time with support and I had much better help recently with a different issue, so it might be worthwhile to reach out and see if you can get a better solution that I did.

Thanks for the information. I did reach out to them and they don’t have anything designed yet. I did find some designs on thingiverse which I might give a try!

How did you route the cabling? Did you run it through the tubes that the previous stepper motors were wired through?

For the X-Axis I have it mounted on the left side and runs through the drag chain on that side. For the Y-Axes I have the switches mounted at the front, so I just run them into my table and along some boards over to the box. For motors, I just ran the Y-Axis motors through my table, the x-axis motor does go through the tube into the drag chain on the left.
