Masso not powering on

Im almost complete with the conversion on our machine (homebuild) except for wiring the VFD. I have the power to the power supply. The stepper motors illuminate red but the masso does not turn on. I will check the cable with a volt meter tomorrow but was wondering if anyone has any ideas.

This is our final steps before packing it up is plug everything together, install firmware, and run a series of tests.
Only thing i can think of, and i’m sure you arlready did this… is the cable between the power box and the masso plugged in?
There’s a 6-pin black connector. One side is female, other is male. This sends power and proximity switch signal from the power box into the Masso Touch controller.
Other think i can think of is i wonder if the fuse in the masso touch has blown for some reason.
It’s easy to see, open it up and theres a thick red wire in the upper right with a car-style barrel fuse.

So the 36v outlets are hot but the 24v are dead. Anything inside the power box to look for?

The 24’s should be attached to a power distribution board. I suppose it’s possible a ferrule came out.
The power supplies are relatively simple inside. you should easily be able to figure out what’s going on after it’s open.
Please let me know so i can adjust our building procedure and checks.

Thats all it was. The yellow cable was off the distribution board. Back in business. I did take an extra 1/16 off the insulation to get it to stay. It kept wanting to push back out as I was tightening the screw.

Perfect… thank you for digging into that. I will pass this info onto our Scott who assembles these to ensure we take that extra step.

No problem! Don’t worry now that we are nearing completion on the conversion ill have several more questions im sure!
