Dust Boot V10 or V9

I’d like to mount this on a future Elite Journeyman and wondering which one perfoms better?

I have the V9 and love it

Ok. Wonder what the big differences are between the two. I do see the v9 you can easily remove the from of boot to change the bit.

There’s a lot of differences.

The v10 is available in 2.5", and both are offered in 4".
The v10 is z dependent meaning it is attached to the spindle and rises and falls with it. It is also only available in 80mm frame.
The v9 requires our z independent bracket system as well as some sort of hose restraint which we have options in the form of ultimate hose clamps and attachments.
The V10 UHC is optional.
V10 uses spacer tracks to get you extra depth. A drawback to this is if your profiling 2"+ deep, the first bit won’t have any sufficient cleanup, there are work arounds to this with the elite, but I just let the chips fly and sweep afterwards

There’s a v9 bundle for Onefinity where it’ll have everything you need. V10 a bundle isn’t necessary.

Universally v7 is our favorite, but due to the lack of clearance its not an option. I’m a fan of z dependent period because i don’t like messing with the z independent brackets.

Great info…I have the V10 Q’d up to buy the makers kit ready to go in the cart. The only problem with the dust boot is the ease to change a bit quickly with the boot on ?

Easier on v10 hands down.
Remove the spacers & track so the acrylic and collar is the only thing left of the boot. Loosen collet nut with 2 wrench method, do what you gotta do and tighten, slap spacers & or track back on, off to the races.

V9 push the bboot back possibly fighting the hose, and wrench around the z brackets. The rest of the steps are the same. You can also move the brackets up and out of the way, but it’s adding more steps.

Got it. Gonna print the parts tomorrow for the V10.
