Issue 1.
How do I get my bits to change automatically? Do I need to group the different toolpaths in Aspire?
Issue 2.
When one file completes, the spindle returns to where the tool setter is, but the spindle is not high enough to clear the tool setter and the bit hit it.
After another file completed, the spindle returned to the left side where my tool holders are, but the bit hit one of them and broke the “tall” holder.
I programed the spindle to raise to “0”, but I’m thinking when I zero the bit on the work piece that the spindle thinks it’s at “0” after the job is complete. I broke one holder, scarred the tool setter, and scarred a holder. What is wrong??

Heres a video
Your bits need to be uniquely numbered 1-100 in masso, and those numbers need to match in your CAD software, in your case aspire.
After that you don’t need to group them but when you go to save them, save them as 1 file.
Issue 2.
I think you identified the problem. As far as program completion, i have mine move to park, but it does sound odd.
I know it returns to the point where the gcode was started from after a change before a proceeding to the cut, but after completion i thought they went to xy 0 safe z. Either way, it’s something with the post processor.
Depending on setup you may be able to protect your racks, but I’ll need more info on location and any intent to use the area for any other function
Ok. I’ve been saving them as separate files. I have the tools numbered in MASSO and Aspire.
Program completion? Is that in Aspire??
Computers are dumb, and only do what they’re told.
You should be saving it as one file with masso doesn’t matter ATC or manual tool change (yes, its a logic with masso), unless you don’t have a tool setter. With ATC of you save them seperately your doing yourself a disservice as you have to reload the new program after completion. The only time you shouldn’t save it as 2 files that i can think of is if your doing a 2 sided carve, then it should be 2 files.
Program completion logic I’m meaning the end of your carve file, and the behavior your experiencing is based on the post processor your using or massos logic, unless you go in and change your post processor after saving before executing it.
If I’m not mistaken the default behavior is Safe Z X0 Y0. Since this is useless to me, i added it to go to park at the end, and set park for High Z, X Middle, Y Back.
Thanks, Chris, but how do I program the completion logic? I have Aspire.

Here is a video that shows how to set a parking location for the Masso.
