Would love to throw a whole sheet of goods on and not have to deal with tiling.

I, too, am curious. It seems like it might need to be a bit of different design, though. I seem to recall reading that ball screws don’t do well past 4 feet or so, but I could be mistake
Not 100% accurate, but the longer you go, the more girthy you have to get it… the girthy-er you go the higher costs go up, and its not a linear increase, it’s pretty drastic. If you don’t go more girthy then the whip increases and that’s bad

Oh yeah, h•πr^2 (volume of a cylinder) makes the material needed an exponential cost as you linearly increase the size of the ball screw. Which explains some of why many (most? all?) CNCs bigger than 4x4 switch away from ball screws.
Anyway… any news on the 4x8 front or is that still hush hush for now?
