Are there any customer ATC review videos?

Hi,

I’m new to the forum, but not new to CNC. I have a Onefinity Elite on order.

I’m seriously considering an ATC purchase, but I would need to see what the community is saying about it first. I can only seem to find official ATC videos from pwncnc in public (pwncnc Youtube channel). Given that there are 60+ systems already out there for a little while now, this makes me nervous that there might be issues that would necessitate waiting or attempting to build one from chinese ATC spindles.

Also, I’ve applied to the FB PWNCNC ATC users group and had my application denied, which makes me extra nervous that initial customer feedback might not be great.

I’ve been an early adopter before and gotten burned on first generation expensive equipment to the tune of many $k, so I want to make sure that isn’t the case here. I would put my purchasing threshold at 3+ unbiased customer review videos, if I’m honest.

I’m also currently designing my table setup for the Onefinity, so seeing others’ ATC setups would be helpful in planning location and configuration for the tool holders.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to some customer video reviews or similar?

Thank you!

Hi,
I was the one who was declining your invite. It’s not even supposed to be publicly listed, but when switching it back to private, i can’t send an invite code (like i used to) which is why it’s public now. The reason why is we don’t want people asking questions and getting other people giving bad advice who may be speaking from knowledge but not experience with the system.

We are logging “issues” here, and are either declaring them or giving remedies. I’ll save you the time, tool present/tool absent sensor is hit n miss. Theres a workaround, but it all based on certain considerations, and I’ll go into those if you’d like.

For table setup, your boot/dust collection would dictate that based on your racks and also table size. I can go into some of those considerations too if you’d like

Hi Chris,

I appreciate the feedback as well as the links. Much appreciated!

I like the magnetic racks to reclaim the space as necessary, great idea! :clap:

Very important that if removing them you put them back according to programming, otherwise you’ll use an endmill as a vbit and have a bad time

Here’s one independent review.

@adamfenn28 Thank you!
