4th Axis PwnCnc vs 1F

The question I have is that I did order the 4th Axis from 1F, But saw that the one PwnCnc is offering is 100mm vs 80mm that 1F is selling. Just wondering what people are thinking about the two. Should I cancel my order and order from PwnCnc?

2nd thought was on the PwnCnc version would I have to order rails for the system? I like the idea as that at some point I could have a Small 1F or other brand running a 4th axis all the time and never have to change.

My main interest is in making Chess pieces.

I have a 100mm rotary. It’s not the PwnCNC version, just one I put together myself via Amazon. I wish it was bigger, but I’m very glad it’s not smaller. I have my 1F machine raised up quite a bit and the rotary sits lower than the spoil board, so I could go bigger. The largest square stock I can put in it is just about 4”. I may upgrade to a 150mm rotary somewhere down the line so that it will accommodate larger stock.

BTW, one way to cheat the size of the rotary and put a little bigger stock in it is to start with your larger stock - in my case close to 5” and then turn it into an octagon by trimming the corners on a table saw with the blade set to 45 degrees. Just be careful of kickback if you don’t do many 45 degree cuts on the table saw and aren’t experienced with them.
