Turning Anodization into a proper Manufacturing Line

Establishing a reliable production line hinges on having clear and easy-to-follow documentation. For our new anodization line, I set out to create a straightforward set of instructions that could be handed directly to the operator responsible for anodizing parts.

Our first test piece is the Tool Setter mounting pad, a small component included with the Dominator and originally designed and made by our friends over at Millright. These pads are ideal for initial trials—they’re compact and any imperfections are largely inconsequential. Unlike some of our more critical parts, these don’t need to be flawless.

Since each tank in the anodization process has different timing requirements, we’ll group parts into batches, each accompanied by a printed sheet like the example below. This document will outline all necessary operational details, helping the operator stay organized and ensure consistency throughout the process.

Maybe get a few egg timers?

I keep getting bombarded in tiktok for those timers you turn on its side.

For now i’m just using my iwatch and asking it to set a time for me.
Thus far it’s a pretty lazy production line compared to building VFD’s.

Don’t give into those… or else skynet wins! But i think maybe a few egg timers would be beneficial, if anything to maximize effeciency on the prep line before the 90 min chokepoint
