Modifications of our anodization workflow have yielded repeatable results!
Specifically reducing the anodization time by 1/3 which is good in that it speeds up the entire workflow. Also reducing the temp of our black dye from 140 down to 120 as well as reducing the dye dunk step from 15min to 10min.
We’ve done this and some very careful inspection between the initial steps and we’re now getting repeatable results.
Great to hear this. Getting closer to replacing the temporary parts on your demo and putting it through it’s paces. Not to mention moving the new machines out the door.
So exciting! The parts look fantastic!!! I love the satin black!!!
Exactly the plan. The ZX plate had to be sent back, minor mistake threading M5 instead of M6. Easy fix… and I should have them back next week.
Gathering the parts and hoping before end of next week to have the Dominator fully upgraded to a production machine. A few parts won’t be perfect, but maybe later we’ll strip the anodization off and reanodize them for a better surface.
Smudged parts won’t be any detraction from a fully assembled and ready to carve Dominator experience. Looking forward to recording those videos and sharing!
