Question for the group… or specifically those folks with 1f 1gen machines running their blackbox (clone buildbotics) controllers…
And more specifically.. those still suffering with the “spindle drop issue” where the weight of the spindle “drops” with e-stop or power loss.
I’ve recently come across an open-loop stepper with an electronic brake?
Recently acquired such a stepper and worked with Doug (over at BB) to power the brake-release during use… I have the technical details needed… but before I dig into this project I wanted to gauge interest.
