Today I started to assembly my ATC system. When I went to assemble the MTC Handle on the cable I noticed that the cable near the switch is much larger than the hole in the MTC handle.
Cable: ~12 mm
MTC Handle Hole: ~7 mm
The reason the cable is so large is that there are several layers of heat shrink tubing. I imagine these layers provide good strain relief and I appreciate that they are there. For this reason I was thinking of using a drill bit to expand the hole on the MTC handle rather than trimming back a significant amount of the heat shrink tubing.
I’m wondering if others have run into this issue and if so how you solved it?
Hmmm… I did not run into this issue. It was a snug fit but no problem. It might be helpful if you could post a couple photos. Either way, I’m sure someone from PWN will help you out. Have you tried emailing their support directly?
Interesting to hear that you didn’t experience this issue @BPSOswego. I’ve attached some pictures to my first post. I haven’t emailed support directly. I may do that after the weekend.
Hi @Eriz, while I didn’t have that big of a problem with my MTC housing, to make sure my wires were sitting without any pinching. I busted out the sand paper wrapped it around a 2HB pencil and sanded the hole a sight bit larger until my desired liking
