Movd my CNC and now the spindle won't start automatically

I moved to a new house. My setup (onefinity journeyman and PWNCNC 1.5kw 110v ER11 air-cooled spindle) won’t start automatically. The VFD doesn’t change its display. All this worked before the move. The spindle will run manually. It’s as if the VFD isn’t getting the single to start the spindle. I did upgrade the Onefinity controller to 1.4.2 when I started up the system. I have disconnected and reconnected all the cables. I had left the spindle controller cable connected to the CNC controller which is mounted under Onefinity’s folding table so it was protected by the legs when they were folded up. How do I determine if it is the controller or the cable that is damaged? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Most likely you lost your configuration setup for the spindle when you installed the new firmware on your journeyman. Same thing happened to me,

I checked the tool configuration on the Onefinity. Everything looks like it should on the PWNCNC website.

Is there another setup you are referring to?

Seems you have 2 things that changed since the last known good state.

I would make sure you’re plugged into modbus port and not the run port

Ensure the manual override switch is in automatic

Double and triple check the configuration and entertain reverting back to a known good version

I have checked and rechecked the hardware and software configuration. Still the onefinity shows “timedout” for communication with the VFD. The solution I was presented with was to replace items. The VFD is still under warranty so I’ve sent it to PWNCNC for them to check it out. If it appears to be functioning, I"ll have to pay the $500 for a new blackbox from Onefinity.

Hopefully we can figure it out, but if you didn’t change anything with the vfd since it last worked, it’s not likely to be the vfd

Frank I have the PWN 1.5KW spindle and the same thins has happened to me except it happened right after I upgraded the 1F BB 1.6.1 . Everything took a change from there on. According to the forum I needed to change the controller to EM60 that was done in the upgrade, then I was told to reflash the simcard, easier to purchase a new Simcard from 1F i did inserted, turned on, rebooted and still no spindle turn on in automatic mode with PWN. The spindle runs great in manual mode, but that’s not what was working prior to the 1.6.1 upgrade everything worked as advertised. getting frustrated, what have you found out?
