Have one on order and am trying to determine which spindle to get. Thanks
It will be, but we don’t have ours yet so we can’t say it is, and we’ll refer you to the documentation provided from scienci. I do know there is someone who has hooked up their ATC spindle up to the super long board, but as far as I’m aware, they haven’t been able to hook up the pneumatics to make it work automatically.
I just received a the PWN spindle for use with the AltMill and I am having A LOT of trouble getting it to run. Messaging the company is not getting anywhere. Actually looking on this forum for help and have found others who are also having trouble getting spindle to turn. Doesn’t help that PWN doesn’t have a phone number to call for help.
Thanks for that info! Unfortunately, I called it, and it went to voicemail. I left a message, so I guess I will see if they get back to me.
It is a small staff office, and he could be otherwise occupied
Yeah. They offered that I could send the VFD and SLB to them to have them look at it and I am doing that.
That’s what i would have suggested… the whole grasping at straws thing. If you time it so that they get it Tuesday or wednesday, they’ll be able to ship it Wednesday Thursday. If they get it Friday it’s sitting in the warehouse for the weekend
Yeah, I spoke with them about an hour ago and they were very helpful about sending them the VFD and SLB. From what they explained, it sounds like an issue with the source of the SLB and that I was not the only one with this issue. They got back to me quickly so they deserve credit for being on top of things.
Did you end up getting it working with the Altmill?
Yes… him like almost a hundred other folks have gotten our spindle kits and systems working on their AltMills.
Since this thread was started we have updated our documentation to be a whole lot more helpful.
No, I am waiting for your company to send a new SLB board to PwnCNC.
Ah.. link made ![]()
Yes we’re keeping an eye out for the board to arrive. The instant it does I’ll let you know via ticket and jump into getting it wired up and tested.
