Right now, as soon as I hit play to start a carve on my X-50 Journeyman, the spindle starts up as its heading to its entry point. Sometimes the spindle isn’t up to speed before it hits the work piece. I noticed in the video linked (at minute 8:26) there is a prompt to start the carve after the spindle gets up to speed. How do I get that prompt? Also how long does it usually take before the spindle comes to a stop after a carve? It seem like it takes about 10 seconds for mine. Just wanted to make sure that was normal.
Thank you
Hey @Chris, sorry to single you out, but I’ve noticed you answer a lot of questions on here. Do you have any insight to my post? Thanks so much for your help!
I’m sorry, I don’t have a onefinity buildbotics. But it should be 6 seconds spin up, and 6 seconds spin down. Onefinity Buildbotics and excessive spindown
The way it’s presented, its native to the post processor.
Depending on your CAD software (I’m a vectric guy), you can add a line to the post processor so that it’ll wait for you to hit a button before starting. I found this on the subject.

I also did this detailed writeup on adding a delay to your post processor instead of a “ok” message.
I use Fusion, which I think @Daniel may based off how the product pictures look. I’ll have to look further to see how I can get that added to Fusion’s post processor. Thank you again for your help and insight!
