Hey everyone, I’m working on a dust boot solution for the Dominator and want to gather some insights from the group, from real users, the current processes they have and where there may be opportunities to improve the workflow through a few different accessories.

Do you have an ATC (automatic tool change) spindle on your Dominator Pro?

What tool holders do you use now, if you use an ATC?

If you have ATC, how do you currently handle the dust boot during tool changes?

  • I remove the dust boot manually before running ATC jobs
  • My dust boot stays on and I work around it (limited tool lengths, careful clearances)
  • I built or bought a boot that retracts or moves out of the way
  • I just don’t use a dust boot on ATC jobs
  • I use the MTC button

How interested would you be in a motorized dust boot that automatically raises to clear the ATC and lowers for cutting — triggered by your Masso’s M8/M9 commands with no manual intervention?

You need an answer for MTC.

I do not use the ATC in full Auto because I have not found a dust boot I trust enough in full auto. And I will not run my CNC without dust collection.
