Water cooled spidle system

How many of you guys run a PC water cooling system to cool your spindles?

That is an awesome setup.
I have been playing around with creating a “mini-chiller” but needed to get the ATC across the finish line.

Thanks, it took alot of time trying to figure out what would work and what wouldn’t. Theres actually not a ton of information out there on set ups like this. Which makes me believe not a lot of people have them. But for the price i cant think of anything better or more efficient.

I have temp guages at the spindle and the reservoir which i can display on my moniter. If the temp in the spindle starts going up i can control my pump speed and fan speeds to bring it back down. You can even set it up to do it automatically. Im usually sitting at an 8°f difference from spindle to reservoir, and thats with pump and fans running at idle speed. I had your spindle running for about 2 hours and never got into the 80s at the spindle.

If you could come up with your own system or make a deal with corsair, you would rule the cooling market.

Im running a similar setup on mine. What pump are you using? Mine is a single speed and I think that is my first upgrade to my cooling system.
I have a digital temp guage attached to the pump and run to the top of the Masso controller and a fish tank strip on the spindle itself. Low tech but less wire runs to deal with on the gantry.

This is the pump im using, but in order to use the speed control youll need a corsair icue commander xt. The commander is where you would plug your pump, fans, and temp sensors into to have everything controlled by corsairs icue software, which is free.

Mmmm. Thanks for the info. Dont currently run a PC in the shop. The search continues! Constanly improving.
