Masso Tiered Software and how it affects our Conversion Kits

As you all are likely aware by now… Masso has implemented a tiered software for their controllers.

PwnCNC, being an official Masso Partner here in the US, is fully behind their product and believe it will help so many customers.

As part of their launch we are also splitting our Conversion Kit into two parts.

Just like with their controller firmware “split” and how it affects existing customers being considered at the Advanced tier… our current Conversion kit and Dominator CNC owners are now considered Advanced tier as well. This means if you have our Dominator CNC or Conversion kit already or have one on order… your Masso Software Tier is considered Advanced level.

Now… as for our newly released Conversion Kit - Core it features significant wiring changes in order to lower the overall price. We are removing all of the aircraft connectors and favoring more of a ferrule & phoenix connector approach. This dramatically lowers our costs and we’re passing that savings onto you.

Our Conversion Kit - Core will have 3 motor sizes to choose from. 1.2Nm (preorder), 2Nm (ready now), and 3Nm (ready now).

It will still feature the awesome shielded cables like before, but with ferrules on each end. This makes wiring up and even DiY adjusting the length of your wires extremely easy and low-cost.

Is the core conversion kit pre wired to accept XYZ Probe, Tool Setter, Spindle & Chiller, Rotary Axis, and ATC System (optional upgrade) and does Masso firmware support these items in it’s core package?

Hello, the short answer is sort of and yes.

Our core conversion kit, you’ll wire directly into the G3 controller via its phoenix connectors.

So we will be documenting hooking up our tool setter and XYZ probe which is absolutely supported by the core tier firmware.

Core can handle those, a spindle and more.

Any popular hobby machine… the equal is the Masso Core firmware.

I am working on a video about this threads topic, Masso tiers, and some very cool changes for Pwn and an awesome new product.

I’ll release this video later this weekend. Script written, now I need to record it in morning, edit tomorrow afternoon and release… stay tuned.
