Maintenance Schedule/Info for Dominator Pro

Now that I am moving from the light testing stage of my Dominator to a more aggressive stage, my thoughts have been on maintenance. I have searched PwnCNC’s documentation and can’t find anything. In all honesty I really did not expect anything yet. And I definitely understand why. The Dominator Pro is a outstanding CNC and maintenance is one of the most import parts of owning a CNC.

So. Since I am not one to wait to the last minute, I was hoping this feed might help out in gaining some recommendations. I have a Nextwave HD520 and had a Onefinity Elite Foreman. Both have good reference information for maintenance available. So I am familiar with what needs to looked after. Assembling the Dominator is so much more detailed and time consuming, I feel like I know each part by heart now. But until PwnCNC documents their recommended procedures, I would rather not guess and end up missing something.

All recommendations will be very much appreciated.

Probably goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyways and some of the care and maintenance include:
Lubricating moving parts. I believe it comes with grease (lasts longer than oil), but if it doesn’t then oil. I don’t know specifics on the lubrication. The machine you have in front of you shares similarities to what was conceptualized but a lot had changed from when I left to today, and a lot has obviously been decided (without my knowledge) because it was all in the air before.

Aside from lubrication, keeping the dust level down which can be done with either dust collection boot or pressurized air.

Lastly, do the warm up procedure on your spindle. I have my machine park (in the back) and then run, meanwhile I’ll setup the job, and by the time that is done it’s usually ready to go.
