Dominator Photos

Hello everyone… I’ve finally been able to recover our Shop/Demo area from it’s previous use as a staging area for the rest of our new facility. This means this past weekend i was able to setup the Dominator 4x4 with all but the 5th leg upgrade as well as our Converted Shapeoko 5 Pro. Few weeks back we setup the converted Shapeoko HDM as we used to carve prototype gantry plates for the Dominator.
Now that all 3 machines are fully operational, it’s time to share some photos…

Just gotta love the torsion box design of our add-on/upgrades for our machine.

There’s still more work to do cleaning up and reorganizing our scrap wood… but this is an awesome start.

I’ve installed the 3Nm steppers onto the machine as well as our External E-Stop (left side) and the MPG, XYZ Block, and Tool Setter.
I chose the right side for the machine since i’m right handed.
Note that the machine is roughly workbench height. Which means you can roll around on a standard shop stool to operate your machine. I know it’s not for everyone but standing all day is not my idea of a fun day or retirement.

The extraction hose is attached to our boom arm with all the tubes/wires for the ATC running through the roomy 18*50 cable chains.

This machine is solid as a rock and over the next few months I plan to prove that by performing a series of tests to prove it can do all I claim it can and more.

Any chance of retro fitting the vfd/pe mounting brackets, or would it require a design overhaul?

I’m not following? 3

These.

Or the French cleat and “what’s this” clip

Ah. Mounting of the vfd’s and such are left to the customer for now. Due to the machine having t-track extrusions it’s extremely easy to add a plywood for utilizing these brackets.
These brackets are compatible with our power box as well as the VFD and PE.
The only difference between PB (power box) the nearly identical VFD and PE is the width. The PB is wider but the hole pattern is the same so these mounting brackets will still work.

I have searched everywhere…what are the dimensions of the VFD and PE. Mine are on order and trying to get as much done as I can

We have that published in our KB: VFD Enclosures - PwnCNC
