Cutting V3 Dust Shoe Acrylic Parts

Greetings All
I’m a 72 yr old newbie at this CNC thing, as my father would say never quit learning something.
On to my question, I have the digital files for the V3 dust shoe and have printed all the parts, they look great. When I load the dfx files into VCarve Pro and try to create toolpaths it complanes about multiple open contures. When I select all the sections and try to join them the Join / Close option is greyed out. What do I need to do in order to get this cutout?
Thanks Gary

The open contours (vectors) could be in a group. If that is the case, ungroup the vectors first before selecting the open vectors. I hope it makes sense.

I found a work around. Loaded the file into Lightburn and saved as STL. I try your suggestion later as I would prefer do everything within VCarve.
Thanks for the reply.
Gary
